What does local matching look like? +
At Village Surrogacy, we prioritize personal matching that best aligns with the needs and preferences of our intended parents. We work predominantly in the Southeast region, with deep knowledge of fertility clinics, medical and legal professionals, and community resources throughout this area.
While local matching is always considered, our approach is flexible: we focus on finding the right match based on your priorities, whether that means a local connection or the best possible candidate anywhere in our network.
Does my gestational carrier need health insurance? +
Insurance is a big deal in the surrogacy world. While most gestational carriers do not have a surrogate-friendly policy (meaning that their current insurance will not cover a surrogate pregnancy), some do! As a courtesy to our intended parents, Village will engage and pay for a one professional third party's insurance review of a gestational carrier's policy and provide the results to you as a courtesy.
If the review finds her policy is not surrogacy friendly, we'll connect you with a surrogacy insurance provider who can help place a suitable policy.
What if my gestational carrier doesn't pass medical screening? +
If your gestational carrier candidate fails medical or psychological screenings, we'll work with you to identify and introduce you to one additional candidate who meets your original criteria. Village will not charge any additional fees for this re-match, but you'll be responsible for out-of-pocket costs including costs for screening, insurance review, etc.
Does Village Surrogacy provide professional services like medical, mental health, or escrow services? +
Village Surrogacy does not provide medical, mental health, or escrow services directly. However, as part of our strategic approach, we maintain close relationships with experienced professionals in these areas. We help connect intended parents with the right providers and cover several of the essential costs associated with screening and matching your gestational carrier.
