Surrogates

The Foundation of our Village

Be a Part of Our Village

You will be a key part of something that is truly unique and special! At Village, we understand that having a vibrant base of quality gestational carriers is the lifeline of a successful surrogacy agency. So, you'll notice that we spend a significant amount of time recruiting and vetting our gestational carrier candidates to make sure that they are the best possible candidates to embark on a surrogacy journey.

We assist our intended parents with growing their families, but we also value, admire, and support our gestational carriers. While our pre-screening process is comprehensive, we feel that ultimately the process benefits our selected gestational carriers as well as our intended parents, so that no one suffers the disappointment of broken matches, or incompatible expectations.

Unlike large national agencies, we do not intend to maintain excessive numbers of candidates in our portfolio who sit in a database for an extended period of time. We elect to work with a smaller number of vetted gestational carriers so that we can give customized concierge service and personalized care to everyone in our village, including you!

FAQs

Who can become a surrogate? +

While requirements can vary slightly, most surrogates are healthy moms who have had at least one full-term, uncomplicated pregnancy. We will walk you through all medical and lifestyle guidelines early on so you feel confident and informed from the start.

How long does the surrogacy process take? +

From application to delivery, most journeys take about 15 to 18 months. This timeline can vary depending on matching, medical clearance, and transfer timing, but we are with you every step of the way to help keep things moving smoothly.

How are matches made with intended parents? +

We take a highly personalized approach to matching. We spend time getting to know you, your values, preferences, and goals, so we can thoughtfully match you with intended parents who align with what matters most to you. Compatibility and mutual respect are always our priority.

Will I have a say in the match? +

Absolutely. This is your journey too. You will have the opportunity to review intended parent profiles, ask questions, and participate in a match meeting before making any decisions.

What kind of support will I receive? +

You will have a dedicated coordinator guiding you throughout your journey, along with access to our surrogate support network, monthly community calls, and a Surrogate Big Sister who has been through the process before. We are here to support you emotionally, logistically, and every step in between.

What expenses are covered? +

All medical expenses related to the surrogacy are covered, along with additional benefits such as lost wage reimbursement, travel costs, and other agreed upon allowances outlined in your contract.

Will I need to travel often? +

We prioritize local matches whenever possible to minimize travel. In most cases, travel is limited to one to two key medical appointments, and all travel expenses are covered.

Can my partner or family be involved? +

Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Surrogacy is a shared experience, and we welcome your partner or support system to be involved. We also provide reimbursement so your partner can attend important appointments with you.

What happens after delivery? +

After delivery, there is typically a short recovery period where we continue to check in and support you. Every journey is unique, but we remain a resource for you even after your surrogacy is complete.

What if I have never been a surrogate before? +

That is completely okay. Many of our surrogates are first time surrogates. We will guide you through every step, answer your questions, and make sure you feel prepared and supported throughout the entire process.

Why choose Village Surrogacy? +

We intentionally keep our surrogate community small so we can provide a more personal, concierge style experience. You are never just a number here. You are a valued part of our village, and your experience matters deeply to us.
